The little puppy whined, uncertain why she was left alone by the tree. She didn’t like being near the tree. She couldn’t play like she loved doing. At first, she just sat there, a pretty brown, cream and white wolfdog with bright blue eyes waited for her owners to come back. Surely there’d been a mistake. There was something keeping her near the tree, and she didn’t like that either. She couldn’t get rid of it.
She was hungry, too. No one had come, and she couldn’t find anything to eat. Whining still, the puppy curled at the base of the tree, still watching the direction that her owners had vanished. Surely
